Zouk in Dubai

Dear Zouk dancers,

as Zouk is becoming more and more popular in Dubai, several clubs started to play Zouk music on a regular basis. The best place with the finest selection of Zouk music is Savage Garden in Capitol Hotel. On Sundays after our classes the DJ plays plenty of beautiful Zouk songs for our students to master their skills and throughout the week upon request.
On Tuesdays there is a Salsa venue at Barasti Bar (lower floor) inside Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort from 10 pm to 1 am, where the DJ is playing Zouk as well.
On Saturdays Salseros are welcome at Zinc club in Crown Plaza from 10 pm to midnight, besides Salsa and Bachata, the DJ will play some Zouk songs to introduce this sensual dancing style to a wider crowd.

This event is organised for TV registration. A 54 minute compilation of the show will also be aired on TV in some other countries, and on at least 7 different TV stations in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and other regional TV channels during Christmas 2009. It’s also due to be aired on TV stations in Africa and possibly in Brazil.


It will be the first time ever for a Live LambaZouk Music & dance event to be aired by mainstream TV stations in the Netherlands.

The class begins with an exhilarating warm up combining elements of contemporary, jazz and ballet followed by the main body of the class, looking at musicality, partnerwork, styling, sensory perception, one of the hardest and ulitmately the most challenging classes around.

December 13th Lindale returns to the studio in what will be the first Lyrical Zouk: Lambada Zouk London Style Workshop in London. Lindale is a Rambert trained dancer, who's been dancing and performing Lambada Zouk for over fifteen years. Known as the most innovative teacher in London today, Lindale combines elements of contemporary,jazz ,ballet and contact improvision to create the unique Lyrical Zouk style. This class will not only introduce everyone to a dance considered to be one of the sexiest dances around, but will also open up a whole new world of music which is not only sensuous but also inspirational.
