Does everyone remember when the lambada burst onto the international scene in the eighties? Well the dance as evolved dramatically since then, it's more dynamic,creative and funky without losing the timeless sexy latin uality that we've all come to know and love.
On Sunday December 13th, London's most innovative lambada zouk dancer/teacher will be holding a special introductory workshop at the Tabernacle, the workshop will comprise of a warm up combining elements of jazz, ballet and contemporary dance, followed by the basic steps of lambada,concluding with a little choreograph routine.
With over sixteen years experience dancing and performing Lambada Zouk, Lindale brings a wealth of experience into his classes. Lindale's performing experience includes television, film , the west end and off Broadway. He's also produced for television and stage and as well as being an avid screen player writer he is also the originator to the Lyrical Zoukl style of dance; a zouk dance style slowly gaining worldwide recognition as the first distintive style coming out of London.
This upcoming workshop will be using a unique blend of old skool soul and blues as well as zouk and kizomba to not only get everyone moving but to also guaranteed to be spiritually uplifting.
The newly refurbished Tabernacle houses a wonderful dance studio, with an excellent restaurant and already is gaining a reputation for hosting exciting, trend setting events. The cost of the class will be 10 pounds at the door, 9 pounds in advance and 8 pounds concession.
