History of Kizomba
How did it all start?
Kizomba is a popular dance and musical genre from Angola, derived directly from a mixture of Zouk (Zouk Love) and Semba. Developed in the late 1980s and early 90s the music and dance have become popular also in Portugal and their are many derivates of the style also called kizomba. Kizomba is popular amongst all the PALOP countries and is now in the stages of reaching global audiences. find out more about this rhythm here

Hi People, thanks for visiting our Blog, whether you've visited to find out about dancing, listen to the radio, watch a music video, a remix, listen to singles, live music, see whats happening in the world of Lambada, Zouk, Konpa, Kizomba, Zouk Love, Zouk RnB, RnB (R&B) ....... discover new songs, find out whats happening in England, United Kingdom, (Reino Unido), America (Estados Unidos), Lisbon, (Lisboa) Saturday Nights, night clubs, nightclub, parties, whatever you're looking for, I think you'll be able to find it, everything from cocktail recipes to Brazilian music. If you're anything like me, then it makes me get in holiday mode, but where would I start, which city will offer me everything I need in one place, do I book Sao Paulo Accommodation (Hospedaje for all you Spanish speakers) and then get a flight to the other places I really like? Or do I just look for flights set off and find accommocation once I'm there? Lets face it if I was to say choose Brazil, or Brasil as the Brazilians spell it, it wouldn't be worth just staying a night, and I'd probably have to look at finance, loans and possibly credit, my savings may not be enough, and thinking about saving would be out of the question, not to mention having a budget for once I'm there. Even then could I afford Luxury Hotels or would I be doing Brazil street style? Well theres always Pousadas, thats another option. I'd say the thing that gets me about any holiday is the beach, unless I was on somekind of cruise, which would have no beach hotels, (hoteis) lol. I'm not one for shopping or looking at stores and a hotel or hotel stays get me bored and though I've been to a resort here and there through those travel deals, I really just want to go to the club after a long day at the beach, and enjoy my holidays with a drink here and there and a few dances. You must admit, all these last minute hotels, brazil hotels and travel brazil brochures do their marketing quite well, even the translation is not bad. A young American I know, says he just books a house or an apartment (appartementen) overseas whenever he decides to go on vacation. Well Brasil tourism, Brasil music, (turismo) I just want to get to Brasil, do some latin dancing, checkout some of the urban clubs in Brazil and enjoy the beach.
On second thought maybe it's time I visited the Caribbean.....
But where? Curacao, Aruba, St Lucia, or do I go and see how they do things in Martinique?
I guess I'll just keep dreaming, or I'll come back here later and let the music remind me of that summer feeling........ join us if you like.
