Cape Verdean Zouk songstress Suzanna Lubrano releases her fifth solo album !


Festa Mascarado is an exciting mix of Zouk, R&B and Bachata.

Suzanna Lubrano has officially released her fifth solo album.
The album Festa Mascarado is released by Suzanna Lubranos US record label Mass Appeal Entertainment and can be best described as a mix of Zouk and Zouk R&B with sidesteps to Bachata and Batuku.

Festa Mascarado is currently released in the Benelux, France and Portugal. Later this month it will be available in Africa and the United States.

The United States edition of the album will be different from the European and African edition. In the United States the album will be released as a two disc album, including last years Saida album as a bonus disc.

Suzanna Lubrano has composed most the songs on the album, often together with a wide range of producers and musicians. On Festa Mascarado, Suzanna Lubrano works together with The Heavy Weights who have worked with R&B artists such as Ne-Yo, and the Dominican American producer and musician Rafael Payan. Other cooperations include Ronald Rubinel, Marcos Fernandez, Nellson Klasszik, Adalberto Lopes and Denis Graça.
The first single of the album, the title track, is accompanied by a music video and is already highly successful in the Netherlands.

The track Friends is a Zouk based on a rap of the late Lisa Left Eye Lopes of the legendary R&B girls band TLC. The track was created with support from the Lisa Lopes Foundation which is dedicated to providing neglected and abandoned youth with the resources necessary to increase their quality of life.

Suzanna Lubrano is a highly successful singer and songwriter for over twelve years. Her previous releases include the solo albums Sem Bo Nes Mund, Fofo, Tudo Pa Bo, and Saida.

Suzanna Lubrano has received Gold and Platinum albums in Africa, and was elected Best Female African Artist at the 2003 Kora All African Music Awards.
